I Would Remove All Access To WMP Thought Program Access And Defaults And Uncheck The WMP Box Then See If It Opens. nway, STOP WORRYING,i have a much simpler solution that worked for me(WIN 7 Based):1. START>>CONTROL PANEL>>UNINSTAL A PROGRAM and uninstall the program that you last installed/the person last installed. See if you can launch apps in safe mode without WMP popping up. This will bring up the advanced boot menu where you can choose safe mode, among others.
