If you are OK with the possibility of a bad frame occasionally, however, I feel like the Red drives are overall better for use in a NAS. Specs-wise the WD Red Pro drives are actually moresimilar to the Redrives than they are to the Red drivesexcept that they only come in a size range of 2TBto 4TB and I've recently bought a Seagate 7200.7 160gig drive and love how the drive is practically silent.

Unless anybody can suggest otherwise? The speed and capability of your hard drive makes a big impact on how "snappy" your system feels and even spending only$10-$20 morewill make a big difference.
