The sound was crisp and clear on our Technics system and when boosted to 500 watts really shook the candy machine during DVD playback of Jurassic park. But the tuner portion likely only supports one standard.Twister's question was whether there is a hardware switch that would change the standard to PAL.

Agp x8 should not beable to be activated on the asus motherboards when running the radeon 9800 pro .. i will soon consider buying a Vantec Iceberq 4. This is a standard 4x shot of the desktop which is set at a 1280×1024 resolution. All of a sudden every once in a great while when playing the game the monitor would completely scramble the image shooting random lines and colors rapidly all over the screen.

I recently started playing World of Warcraft, (which is not the first 3D MMORPG I played so that's not the problem) and everything was running perfect. First time post.I have a Dell Dimension 4600 with the above card for about 4 years now. All problems "should" now be solved. Source Turn on the computer and it completely boots, but for some reason I get no video.

Again I want to say you got a bad card out of the box. in fact, i'm pretty comfortable placing the blame on all the excess heat. You can save it to an .RTF file on the desktop and use it as you might any clip image.

It's an excellent card.

You may also... Subsequently had to do this about once a year. I had to change my motherboard to the gigabyte 8knxp 875p. Probably not your problem, but worth a try.

Older cards ( 3 to 5 years) sometimes develop slight oxidation on the contacts, card and socket. Replace your current hard drive with a spare drive and install Windows. then, i removed the fan. Sometimes I get an 'ATi apologises for the interruption . . .' message, sometimes it comes up with 'There was a problem with Java scripting etc ' and occasionally I get

Quake 3 arena has traditionally been one of the toughest benchmarks on videos cards since its release, but we realized frame rates to 312 FPS on our Sony big screen, and but when I touch the heatsinks on the card - they are hardly warm!

You should find an AGP X800XL to replace it (if you can find one).
